建築家谷口吉郎が設計。上から見ると梅の花に見立てたローテーブルとソファのセットは長大作のデザイン。
1960年代、「さまざまな日本古来の美しい紋様を現代的にアレンジ」というコンセプトで設計。だとか。嗚呼モダン！
2020年に向けてのリニューアル計画は谷口吉郎の息子、谷口吉生ということで
それはそれで楽しみです、、でもこのロビーが無くなるのは惜しいなあ。
